FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) pipe is a new kind of pipe material used for fluid transportation in recent years. Because of its excellent properties, it has been used extensively on the market. The reciprocal filament winding process has the advantages of high strength, reasonable jointing type, convenient installation, speedy test of the leakage test to the joint, it mainly be used for buried pipeline and long-distance transfer pipeline.

Glass fiber reinforced plastic pipes are also known as glass fiber wound sand pipes (RPM pipes). It mainly uses glass fiber and its products as reinforcing materials, polymer-based unsaturated polyester resins, epoxy resins, etc. as basic materials, and inorganic non-metal particulate materials such as quartz sand and calcium carbonate as fillers as main raw materials. The standard effective lengths of the tube are 6m and 12m. There are three methods for making the tube: fixed-length winding process, centrifugal casting process and continuous winding process. The advantages of FRP pipes are as follows:

For long-term use in open-air pipes, ultraviolet absorbers are added to the outer surface of the pipes to eliminate the radiation of ultraviolet rays to the pipes and delay the aging of FRP pipes.
3. Good frost resistance. Below minus 20 ° C, freeze cracking will not occur after freezing inside the tube.
4. Light weight, high strength and convenient transportation. FRP pipe is not only light in weight, high in strength, strong in plasticity, easy to transport and install, but also easy to install various branch pipes, and the installation technology is simple.
5. Good hydraulic conditions. The inner wall is smooth, the transportation capacity is strong, no scaling, no rust, and small water resistance.
